Our Mission
Planet fall took place on May 8th 2000. The GROG (aka the Roleplayer's
Guide to the Galaxy) is an interplanetary non-profit organization
whose mission is to reference every roleplaying game ever published
in its supra-luminic database.
You want to be kept informed of the latest publications, know what
is in every book, their cover, differences between the original version
and the translation, search through grand'pa oldies, look for a precise
title, browse through themes or publishers ?
Moreover, the GROG is an interactive web site : you can enrich the
database by entering your own critiques, be they praises or slanging
matches, regarding published games. There are also further services
:
homebrewed games database,
web portal dedicated to rpg sites,
conventions calendar,
distributed news engine,
french upcoming releases,
magazines and fanzines,
and much more to be discovered online.
The Guide is far from being complete. It contains so far only an infinitesimal
part the rpg books published so far but our long term goal is to reference
them ALL. Ambitious ? you bet... Crazy ? undoubtedly... Interesting
? It's up to you to let us know.
Do you feel
your soul is one of a galactic roleplayer's ? Do you feel the urge
to join our crew and work to spread further and again the database,
up to the infinite and beyond ? Then come have a look at our recruitment
centre.

of a rpg web site and wish to know how to get interfaced with the
GROG ? Then dock your ship here.

How to help the intergalactic team of special agents roaming the universe,
seeking after roleplaying games unseen for eons or still trying to
uncover the last tome of Tunnels & Trolls lastly published in
Betelgeuse?
That's simple: you can contact the Administrator
and join the team to participate to the inventory and archiving of
roleplaying games, supplements and related books. Compulsive collectors
are always welcome! And if you are in a hurry, your galactic roleplayer
pack is already available on the left column.
Lastly, an elite corp of genetically-enhanced people called the Watchers
is in charge of weaving a web of vigilance around the galaxy. Nothing
escapes them and thanks to their work, we have the latest and most
up to date news and previews
of the galaxy. It is said that, with time and experience, they become
prescient and can feel when a book will be delayed. Do you have the
guts to join that team?
Otherwise, if you simply prefer to give you point of view on the games
and supplements already in the database to advise fellow roleplayers,
you can do it by entering your critique on the product of your choice.
The guide is an open site where everyone can take and bring whatever
(s)he wants. Come give a hand.
